What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is simply a method of delivering and/or receiving fresh audio content in mp3 format from web sites that offer audio content. Users install a Podcast client program on their local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new content, and when new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer automatically. Think Tivo for audio content. For example, a user who subscribes to the Far Hills Podcast will automatically receive our content (currently new messages) delivered to their Podcast client whenever we post new content.

How do I use iTunes with the Far Hills podcast?
Before you begin, make sure you have iTunes 4.9 or later. Any previous version will NOT work. You can download the newest version from apple.com. From the iTunes program, click on “Advanced” and then click on “Subscribe to Podcast.” Copy and paste the Podcast feed at the top of this page into the box. Click “OK.” The program will automatically download the latest audio, and you can listen to or download more audio from the Podcasts menu in iTunes. |
